A teenager will face court for armed robbery and fraud related offences after being arrested in south west Sydney today.
About 6:45pm on Monday 20 May 2013, a teenager approached a male on McDonald Street, Lakemba. Police will allege the teenager threatened the male with a knife and demanded property.
The male attempted to run from the teenager however he was pushed to the ground. The teenager fled with a mobile phone belonging to the male.
A short time later, the teenager attended a fast food shop in Punchbowl and allegedly disposed of the mobile phone.
About 7am today (Thursday 13 June 2013) Campsie Detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Highland Avenue, Roselands. Police seized a number of items at the address.
A 16 year old teenager was also arrested and taken to Campsie Police Station.
The teenager has been charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, dispose of stolen property and dishonestly obtain property by deception.
The teenager was refused bail and due to appear Parramatta Children’s Court today.
